This Is The Common Thread
I’ve never been very good at staying in one lane.
I write about faith. I obsess over skincare. I homeschool my kids. I make things, rethink things, cook from scratch, question what we’re told is “normal,” and occasionally end up with 443 almost-white T-shirts that refuse to let the story end.
On the surface, those things don’t have much in common. But underneath, they’re all about the same thing: getting back to what’s real.
Less performance. Less noise. Less doing something simply because that’s how it’s always been done. More intention, curiosity, honesty—and the freedom to change my mind when I learn something new.
Born Into Beauty Experiments
As the youngest of four daughters, I basically grew up in a cloud of hairspray and face masks. Our bathroom was a skincare lab, and my mom and older sisters were the scientists. People often assume I just have “good genes,” but the truth is—I come from a long line of women who valued good skincare and consistency. I was lucky to have these women modeling what it looked like to care well for your skin, and now I get to be that voice for you. To show that there is a path to radiant, healthy skin that doesn’t involve needles, lasers, or overpriced products—just wisdom passed down, a little trial and error, and results you can see. The Other Thing I Make
Skincare is how I show up for your face. White tees are for your everyday wear. But a few years ago, something else was being worked out of me — something that had nothing to do with serums and everything to do with the skin I'd been living in my whole life. From Dirt to Divine is my first book, and it's the story of how I went from having all the theological answers to finally asking the right questions. If the Wrinkle Rebel is about shedding what doesn't serve your skin, the book is about shedding what doesn't serve your soul.
