Hi, I'm a recovering fundamentalist

It wasn't until I was 40 years old that I had any clue there was another way to interpret scripture. I assumed everyone either believed exactly what I believed — or they simply weren't a believer. Oy.

Then 2020 happened. Every fundamental belief I held came into question when people I deeply loved seemed to be going against "what I believed." Something had to change. Either I distanced myself from the people I loved, or I examined the Truth behind my belief system.

I chose the latter. And praise God I did.

Not only did my relationships grow deeper, but my heart cracked wide open to receive the full weight of God's love. As it turns out, there are many different ways to read scripture — and my goal with this book isn't to convince you where I've landed, but to invite you on a journey to rediscover God in a fresh, personal way. A way that leaves you with more questions than answers. Because I've come to believe that's the truest mark of faith.

To have it all figured out only limits your experience of God — and of yourself.
