A little help from my friends

Growing up in the Bible Belt, I genuinely didn't know another perspective existed. I sat in my current church for five years nodding along, completely missing that my pastor was speaking Kingdom truth the whole time. That's how thick my theological walls were.

One day, while playing with my daughter, a book literally fell into my lap. After reading it, my eyes began to open — and that book led to many others. Below are my personal hall of famers: the ones I cherish and return to, the ones that gave language to this beautiful place I'm in with my Father.

Not all of these align in theology — and that was never the goal. I had spent years inside an echo chamber, and I was ready to be challenged. If that's you too, I hope you'll give yourself permission to think outside the boxes we've unintentionally placed around God. The goal isn't agreement. It's alignment with the Truth of His unconditional, chain-breaking, mind-blowing love — and letting new revelation flow from there.
